Kevin Ontiveros

Kevin has 30 years of experience serving as in-house and outside corporate counsel for publicly traded and privately held biotechnology/pharmaceutical/medical device companies. His practice focuses exclusively on providing seasoned and experienced strategic legal counsel to the life science industry. Kevin counsels private and public life science companies on a wide range of matters including technology licensing transactions, corporate financing opportunities, public company reporting, and clinical trial, manufacturing, distribution, and research and development agreements. Further, Kevin handles corporate governance matters including advising public and private company boards and committees and overseeing the maintenance of corporate minute books and records. Kevin also advises clients on commercialization and joint venture agreements, merger and acquisitions and general IP protection. Representative Work Negotiated and drafted a research collaboration, distribution and license agreement in the CNS field with a major pharmaceutical company. Lead counsel on negotiating and documenting license, supply and manufacturing relationship with European partner for European approved osteoporosis treatment. Raised capital through various corporate finance vehicles including $192 million convertible debt offering; $180 million secondary public offering; and $175 million monetization of a company's principal royalty income stream.
